Dusky super model Carol Gracias was always a big name on the ramp but now she is a big telly name too. After all, she was on our TV screens for almost three months locked up in the Bigg Boss house, later ending up as a finalist in the game. Looks like interesting new things are up with Carol on the TV front.

"Honestly speaking, I really don't know as of now. Nothing has come my way till yet and moreover I do not think I'm cut out to do Indian television in terms of acting," she reveals.

But hasn't life changed a lot post Big Boss? Isn't she happy about receiving a warm response from the audiences?

"To be very honest with you, there has not been too much of a difference. Yes, I have certainly become a more known face now. I was shocked with the kind of response I got from the people.

But it was lovely considering the fact that I was the underdog, I did not know the language and other things as well, but stayed there till the end", she quips.

So it's quite clear that she would prefer anchoring to acting. She admits it would be closer to her personality. "Yes I would love to do anchoring rather than acting. It is something I can really do. Well, I could anchor probably some travel shows or fashion shows or something that I'm really interested in", she adds.

That brings us to another important question about Bigg Boss, the one that started all the speculations about her TV career. Is she still in touch with her housemates from Bigg Boss house?

"Yes, I'm in touch with a few of them namely Rahul, Rupali, Abhijata i.e Ragini, and sometimes I do call up Amit and Rakhi", she informs. But that doesn't mean she misses her days in that house.

"Frankly no. I am really happy that I'm out of that place at last. I'm thankful to Sony and Endemol for giving me a chance to be there since I have discovered myself to a greater extent and also emerged as a stronger person", she states.

Having done cameos in movies like in Bluffmaster and Being Cyrus, has she also considered a career in films? "See, till I don't do all the running around, nothing is going to happen by itself. I was approached for Bluffmaster and they really managed to convince me for the song, since it was a music video and not any item number. I am committed to my work only, so let's see", she states.

Ramp still remains her first love, in spite of the fact that she was missed at the Lakme Fashion week in Mumbai recently. "See I was there at the Delhi show and the fitting days here were clashing with the show days there. So I really could not make it. But I would have loved to be here because it is a good platform for talented designers and models in India", she says.

The girl is totally over the major wardrobe that happened at LFW last year and in fact is proud of the dignified way with which she could handle it. This strength of character was also evident in Bigg Boss, because of which probably the audiences warmed up to her. "I think it is because of the kind of upbringing that I have got. My family and friends are my greatest strengths", she simply says.

Since she is one of the experienced ones, what advice would she give to the upcoming models out there? "Well I do not know what to say but I think the model should first realize whether they are made for the fashion industry or not.

It is not merely about walking on the ramp and a fun-game and glamour. It is more serious than that. Also once they get fame they should not forget their humility and remember from where they have come", she states before signing off. - Sneha Hazarika (SAMPURN)
