Rakesh Bapat, whose track in his debut television venture 'Saat Phere' has ended, is passionate about acting. Films or television, the actor is all for acting. "I'm doing a Canadian film called 'If I Could Love You More' which is being produced by Telefilms Canada.

As far as Bollywood is concerned, as and when I get a good role, I will take it up. I'm looking for a role which is good and stands out. I'm concentrating on acting be it films or television. I'm looking for good roles and it does not bother me where I get it. It could be films or television." Earlier he has been seen in movies like 'Tum Bin' and 'Jai Santoshi Maa'.

The latest news is that Rakesh has replaced Arjun Punj in Star One serial ' Saathii Re'. Asked if he is disappointed with his role ending in 'Saat Phere', the actor retorts, "No, not at all. Every character has to end some time or the other and I'm happy that my character ended in accordance to the story."

Regarding his role ending earlier too, he said he had to go out. Therefore he asked the producer to end his role. When he returned, he was back in the serial. Rakesh is looking forward to a re-introduction of the character in Saat Phere.

Regarding the offer in 'Saathii Re', he said nitty-gritties are being worked out and nothing has been formalized yet. Recalling his experience in 'Saat Phere', the actor says, "It was a very good experience. All the co-stars were very good and I had a good time. The producers are also very nice and very supportive."

Rakesh is also interested in a career in modeling. "I have done a few advertisements and like doing them but I would like to concentrate on my acting career more. I aspire to be an actor at present and when that is done, I will venture out in other fields."

He has a film up his sleeve as well. "I will be producing a film pretty soon. I'm working on the project and as soon as it materializes, I will give you the news". Rakesh surely is a strong believer in versatility. - (SAMPURN)
