Sidharth Malhotra, the actor of 'Shershah', an upcoming biographical war action film directed by Vishnuvardhan that pays homage to late army captain PVC Vikram Batra on his 21st death anniversary.

Shershah is based on the life and journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, who attained martyrdom in the 1999 Kargil war. It features Sidharth Malhotra in a double role, as Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal Batra and Kiara Advani plays the role of Dimple Cheema, Vikram's fiance. The team of Shershah recently paid tribute to Captain Batra on his 21st death anniversary. Check out the post here -

The film is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo, Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah, and Himanshu Gandhi. The movie was initially set to release on 3 July 2020 but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
