Vidya Balan is known for pioneering a change in the portrayal of women in Hindi cinema with her female-led films. In the film, Vidya will follow the life journey of late Shakuntala Devi who was also known as the 'Human Computer' for being a record-holder mathematical genius. Vidya admitted that the toughest part about this biopic was to get Shakuntala Devi's mannerisms and the right energy.

Directed by Anu Menon, the film also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles and the film will premiere on July 31 on Amazon Prime Video.
