As the shoot of the films and shows has been affected due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in the country. The production of The Kapil Sharma Show had also come to a halt due to the pandemic. Now, after a gap of 4 months, comedy king Kapil is ready to resume the shoot of his show.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kapil told that all the necessary precautions are being taken on the sets, also revealing his show's first guest post the lockdown. He said, ''Sonu paji is our first guest. On the first day, we only shot for our gag because we also wanted to get acquainted with the new normal. Then on 21st, we shot with Sonu Sood.''

Talking about the work, he added, ''I am happy that we have resumed the shoot. The arrangements on the set are really good, there is a sanitizing tunnel in place. The credit goes to the producers. Only my boy (spot) would be allowed to be with me in my vanity, and one writer and director.''

Sharma is taking precautions not only on sets but at his home also. He said, ''Ananya was looking at me when I reached home wondering why am I not picking her up. But I avoided it for some time as safety precautions.''
