Dharmesh Darshan has recently joined the queue of directors and producers who have lined up to sign Bollywood's hottest newcomer Upen Patel.

He says "Earlier in Raja Hindustani, Dhadkan and Lootere, I have worked with stars who have turned into bigger stars. With Upen, my challenge will be to turn a newcomer into a full-fledged star. He already has the star presence in terms of physicality and I hope with my film I can contribute to his acting"

The former model has been making significant progress since his debut with 36 China Town.

His work in Namastey London & Shaka Laka Boom Boom has been appreciated and he has been approached by all the big banners in the industry. Venus, Percept, Astavinayak, Venus and Tips are have already had him sign on the dotted line
