Released on August 12th, the 'Sadak 2' trailer was heavily trolled on social media for consistency promoting certain selective stars. Netizens are so frustrated with the 'Bhatt camp' that they have made the 'Sadak 2' trailer the world's third most disliked video on Youtube. With each passing day, the film trailer is getting more dislikes and is on the way to surpass the 2010 released music video by pop star Justin Bieber. ​

According to the India Today's Data Intelligence Unit report, "Sadak 2 got 11 million dislikes following 11.6 million dislikes for pop star Justin Bieber's 2010 song Baby and the highest 18.2 million (dislikes) for a video posted by YouTube itself, a rewind of the year 2018." ​

Recently, Pooja Bhatt reacted to a follower tweet who had asked her not to be worried about the haters. She responded to him and wrote, "Am absolutely not! Lovers/Haters two sides of the same coin. Late Sushant's fans' have been actively campaigning on social media for the past few weeks urging everyone to boycott the film. Mahesh Bhatt's film stars Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles and is set to release on Disney+Hotstar on August 28th.
