Ever since the 'Khaali Peeli' filmmakers have released the first song from the film, 'Beyonce Sharma Jayegi', it seems like netizens are not ready to accept the song lyrics. As from the past week, the song is trending on the video-sharing app not for its dancing rhythm but because of its controversial lyrics hinting at racism. Now after facing a huge backlash, the filmmakers have changed the song title, from 'Beyonce Sharma Jayegi' to 'Beyonse Sharma Jayegi' to avoid any kind of trademark controversy.

'Oh tujhe dekh ke goriya... Beyonce Sharma jayegi', the song is heavily criticized online over its racist lyrics and most of the audience compared Beyonce complexion with a fair woman and also apologized to the African-American singer. Released on September 6th, the song has received more than 1 million dislikes over 14 million views on Youtube and the numbers are still increasing with each passing day. But still, netizens are not stopped here, they are further sharing some memes and taking a jibe on replacing c with s in 'Beyonce Sharma Jayegi'. Here's are some hilarious tweet by netizens on changing the song title  -

Well, Khaali Peeli filmmakers weren't aware of the fact that Beyonce has trademark registrations on 'Beyonce', 'Sasha Fierce', 'Yonce' and 'Beyhive', among others names. While registering the name, Beyonce made it clear that she has only applied for the same to keep someone else from making money off her name. Along with her, husband Jay Z has also trademarked his names.

'Khaali Peeli' is a romantic action film directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Ali Abbas Zafar, Zee Studios, and Himanshu Mehra. The film features Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey in the lead role whereas Jaideep Ahlawat will portray the antagonist role. Earlier it was rumored that the film was inspired by South Star Vijay Deverakonda's 'Taxiwaala', which was a big hit in the South but later on Khaali Peeli's filmmakers denied such rumors. The film is set to release on ZEE5, October 2nd.
