On September 9th, BMC demolished Kangana's office after finding the construction illegal. This act of the civic body made Kangana so angry that she compared BMC with Mughal emperor Babur and her office space with Ram Mandir. Following the demolition, the actor moved the Bombay High Court at the demolition drive at her Pali Hills property.

Now she has requested to amend the earlier petition filed against BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation and demanded Rs. 2 crores from the civic body as she stated that almost 40% of her property has been destroyed by the BMC. List of property destroyed as collateral damage include two-seater vintage sofa, coffee table, two antique mirrors, editing equipment and desktop, crystal chandelier, Italian lights and other decorative stuff. Kangana Ranaut had purchased the Pali Hills bungalow in 2017 and had renovated it in January this year.

Along with this, Kangana seeks the High Court's declaration that BMC's demolition on September 9 was illegal. The matter will be heard by the Bombay High Court next week. If in case BMC wouldn't be able to prove that the construction at Kangana property wasn't legal, then they may have to compensate the actress the sum amount of money according to the court instruction.
