Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, who won the hearts of countless no. of people with his last on-screen performance in Kabir Singh, is all set for his next project 'Jersey'.Shahid will be playing the role of a cricketer in the film, and the sooting of the same will be resumed very soon.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor is missing being on the sets of 'Jersey' as the actor shared behind the scene video on his Instagram handle. In the video, Shahid can be seen equipped with sports protection gear and practicing cricket, and his friends cheering in the back. With the video shared, he wrote " Can't wait to get back. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey is a sports drama film that revolves around the story of a failed cricketer who decided to revive his career after 10 years. Jersey is a heart-touching story that laid emphasis on the relationship between a father and his son.

Shahid Kapoor has grabbed the main lead in the film along with his father Pankaj Kapur, who will be playing the role of Shahid's father in the film. Talking about the female lead, 'Super 30' actress Mrunal Thakur has taken the spot. The film was scheduled to be released theatrically on 28th August but got delayed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
