The movie Coolie No. 1, starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, was earlier ready to hit the box office on 1st May 2020, but due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the makers had put a hold on its release date.

Due to the unclear post-effect of the crises on theaters, makers decided to release the film on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime. They feel like Diwali would be a great time to get the families together as the audience of this action-comedy. So, as per the sources, this film will be out on Amazon Prime a day before the auspicious occasion of Diwali i.e. November 13th.

This David Dhawan directorial film is the remake of 1995, Coolie No. 1 that is the same name as the new one.

Apart from Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, in Coolie No. 1 we'll also see the stars like Paresh Rawal, Shikha Talsania, Javed Jaffrey, Rajpal Yadav, Sahil Vaid, and Johnny Lever in pivotal roles. It has been produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banner of Pooja Entertainment.
