Anant Mahadevan's Anamika came to a halt on Saturday afternoon when Minissha Lamba singed her right arm while sitting near a fireplace. The pain became unbearable and Minissha could not shoot for over an hour. The incident happened at Aarey Milk Colony in Goregaon.

Minissha's shots had to be taken from the opposite direction after shooting resumed, since her arm had turned red. Our source from the unit reveals Lamba has received first-degree burns.

Minissha was apparently sitting very close to the fire. During the break it was noticed that her right arm was red. The fire hadn't touched her skin. Some first-aid was given to her.

A source says, "We thought we would have to pack-up for the day but Minissha surprised us by saying she would shoot in some time."

Lamba comments "Accidents do take place on the sets. I am better now. The redness on the arm has somewhat lessened. Luckily, the fire didn't touch my arm. It seems I had gone a bit too close to the fire than what I had been told to.

This film, produced by Shyam and Narendra Bajaj, is said to be inspired from the Daphne du Maurier novel Rebecca. Aarti Chabria will be seen in a guest appearance.

She plays the title role of Anamika after whose death, the suspense begins.
