A 26-year-old aspiring actor Akshat Utkarsh was found dead by suicide at his rented flat in Andheri on Sunday. Akshat, who belonged from Muzaffarpur in Bihar, was reportedly stressed due to lack of work opportunities and money. He had borrowed money from his friends and family and was unable to repay the amount.

Utkarsh had shifted to Mumbai two years ago and was staying as a paying guest at Gokul society in Andheri for the last six months with owner Sneha Chauhan. Sneha told police on Sunday night, they spoke for a while after which Utkarsh had gone to his bedroom around 11.30 pm.

senior Police Inspector Someshwar Kamte of Amboli police station said, `When Chauhan got up to go to the washroom later, she found Utkarsh dead in his room. After the police were informed, Utkarsh was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead.` He further added, `Utkarsh was stressed and he had borrowed money from Chauhan, his family members and friends, due to which it is suspected that he may have ended his life,`

The police said that his body has been handed over to his family after postmortem. An accidental death report has been registered and further probe is on, said Senior Police Inspector Someshwar Kamthe of Amboli police station.
