The actor was last seen in Remo D'Souza's musical drama film 'Street Dancer 3D' along with Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. Varun will next be seen in David Dhawan's 'Coolie No. 1', a sequel to the 1995 film of the same name. Sara Ali Khan will be playing the female lead in the film.

The film was scheduled to release on 1 May 2020 but had been postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
