'Laxmmi Bomb' is heading for its release on Diwali weekend but it seems like the film concept has been taken wrongly by the netizens. Recently, netizens lashed over Tanishq's Ekatvam jewelry advertisement for promoting Love-jihad and due to which the brand pulled out the ad. Now, netizens are targeting Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb' for promoting inter-faith marriage. In the film, Akshay is portraying the role of a man possessed by a transgender's spirit name Laxmmi.

In the trailer of the film, it has been shown that Akshay's character's name is Asif and Kiara Advani's character is named Priya. Based on these names, people judged that the movie is promoting inter-faith marriage and called for its ban. The result of which #BoycottLaxmmiBomb and #ShameOnYouAkshay was trending on the microblogging site.

One Twitterati wrote, "Shabina Khan is a producer of Laxmi Bomb who is Kashmiri separatist. Aasif (akshay) is possessed by ghost of transgender Laxmi that wears red saaree & carries Trishul. Official teaser has Ma Laxmi in backdrop. In non-ghost life, Aasif's girlfriend is Priya. #ShameOnUAkshayKumar." Check out some tweets here -

On the other side, Akshay Kumar's fans are also standing beside their favorite actor and using #AkshayPrideofIndia in the actor's support. Well, recently, watching the trailer, transgender rights activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi also took to Twitter and praised Akshay Kumar's performance as Laxmmi. Aamir Khan also praised Akshay for possessing the perfect style and spirit of transgender.

On October 9th, 'Laxmmi Bomb' trailer was dropped by the Disney+Hotstar, and the makers got a surprise when the trailer of 'Laxmmi Bomb' became the most viewed movie trailer in India in just 24 hours with 70 million views. Raghava Lawrence's horror-comedy film features Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Apart from them, the film features Sharad Kelkar, Tarun Arora, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mir Sarwar in the pivotal roles. The film is a remake of the Tamil movie 'Muni 2: Kanchana' and Akshay Kumar will portray the role of a transgender in the film. 'Laxmmi Bomb' is all set for its digital release on Disney+Hotstar, November 09, 2020.
