Popular actress Rinku Dhawan is currently seen as Amba in Madhu and Mahesh Pandey's "Gupta Brothers: Chaar Kunware From Ganga Kinaare". She has been in the industry for over two decades and feels that the content on Television has never been regressive. She said, "In 1994 we had a show like 'Swabhimaan', so I don't think TV was ever a regressive medium. Even now there are so many shows that have such good and relatable content, be it 'Shaadi Mubarak', 'Mere Dad Ki Dulhan', or 'Indiawaali Maa'. People are experimenting with good and progressive content and the audience is also enjoying it."

The "Yeh Vaada Raha" actress was quite a popular on-screen vamp but feels these days negative characters are made to look way too glamorous on the screen. "The vamps these days can easily be identified, because of the way they dress up, and the kind of makeup they put on. I have never applied red lipstick in my entire career. But I am pretty confident that people will still remember me for my performance. I feel the main focus should be on the script and dialogues, not just the glamour quotient," Rinku said. And though she excelled in negative roles, she admitted that doing comedy in "Gupta Brothers: Chaar Kunware From Ganga Kinaare" is challenging for her. "Before the lockdown happened, the show was a social drama, but looking at the mindset of the people and the stress we all went through, the makers decided to turn it into a dramedy. This is the first time I am doing comedy and it is challenging for me because it's not easy to make someone laugh," Rinku concluded.
