Plans to create a sequel to Farhan Akhtar's Don are fast concretising. All the members of the cast and the screenplay are being finalized, but irrespective the lead actors will be the same.

Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra will be doing an encore of their roles from Farhan's Don. However stories that Sushmita Sen has been approached for Don 2 are being dismissed as baseless.

This is the first time any filmmaker will conceive and execute a sequel to a remake. He will have to get into the original screenwriter's (Javed Akhtar) head to imagine where the plot that might have been, if the plot were to be carried further."

The sequel is expected to be much more lavish, spectacular and gorged with effects because of the new technologically oriented films namely Dhoom and Krissh,raising the bar and standards.

Dubbed Hollywood movies such as Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 make matters worse. The budget and the locations for Don 2 will be far more spectacular than the first part. Dates for Shah Rukh and Priyanka have been finalised for early next year.
