Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the rising stars of Bollywood who left the world on June 14. December 7 is marked as the day when his romantic drama film Kedarnath was released. To mark this day, the film director Abhishek Kapoor shared some memorable moments with the late actor. Abhishek has also shared an unknown incident from the script reading session when he discussed the Mansoor character with Sushant and the actor wrote it down on his hand.

While sharing some of Sushant's BTS pictures from Kedarnath's film set on Twitter, the director wrote, "Dwandh dono lok mein vishamrit pe tha chida, amrit sabhi mein baant ke, pyaala vish ka tune khud piya...namo namo ji shankara, bholenath shankara...#2yearsofkedarnath #2YearsOfSSRAsMansoor." Abhishek also shared a picture of Sushant's picture, in which the late actor has written the film's shots for the memory on his palm. He tweeted, "I remember while i narrated the story and we discussed #mansoor, He was writing something on his hand.. i asked him, yeh kya likh raha hai haath pe.. he said apni duniya samet raha hoon #2yearsofkedarnath #2YearsOfSSRAsMansoor #sushantsinghrajput #kedarnath." Kedarnath (2018) is a romantic drama film written, directed and co-produced by Abhishek Kapoor, featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. The film plotline was based on an inter-faith love story between a wealthy Hindu Brahmin girl whose family owns a lodge and shops near the historic Kedarnath Temple in the Uttarakhand mountains and a Muslim boy who is a 'pithoo' (porter) working in the same vicinity.

As their relationship grows closer, the pair face many obstacles, including familial disapproval and contrasting backgrounds. When the sudden rains of the 2013 Uttarakhand floods devastate the region, the couple is forced to survive against the elements and face the ultimate test of their love. The film was released on December 7th, 2018, and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
