Abhishek Bachchan, Youth Icon? Digestible. But Orkut?

MTV has just announced its nominations for this year's Youth Icon and apart from AB Jr, competitors for the title include Orkut, Rang De Basanti, Multimedia Cell Phone and You!

Apparently the MTV peoples are kind of hungover from the last years Youth Icon or they really think that the youth today have nothing better to do! Or maybe its just a bad case of connectivity syndrome, if allowed to call it where you connect to belong.

John Abraham was a better nominee, with his love for fast bikes, gorgeous women and youth friendly personality et al.

The final nominations have been arrived at after a comprehensive research conducted by MTV along with Third Eye Research. The sample size includes youngsters aged 15 to 24 across metros.

The event will conclude in June with the announcement of the Pepsi & MTV Youth Icon for 2007. Anil Ambani, Rahul Dravid, Shahrukh Khan and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have been the earlier MTV Youth Icons over the last 4 years. So who's your Youth Icon this year?
