There are many actors who need to do some kind of homework to get into the depth of the character and give their best performance.
Gaurav Chopra who plays the
role of Caption Abhimanyu Raichauhan – a secret agent who tries to find out the suspense about Navin Singh Alhuwalia in the guise of a music teacher trying to form a band
– is one such actor.
To keep his mission a secret, he is given a look that differentiates him from being an Army officer. He has long hairs with cool clothes on and his behaviour and attitude are
also totally chilled out.
"Yes, I had to a lot of homework for the role, as I had a brief discussion with the producer, director and then we zeroed downed to 42 points that I have to follow before every
scene.
So now before a scene I have to think what to do and what not to do. I also had to work on the musical instruments, as I am playing a music teacher. I did
not had time to learn it, but I saw performances of bands and musical shows to learn how they use the instruments. I also had to work a lot on my body language as he is
very chilled and funny," exclaims Gaurav.
But why so much homework for this character and what is this so unique about it? "It is a very different and unique role as I don't think any one has played this kind of a role
before on television. I had a special entry and it is a very challenging role, as it is so spontaneous with a variety of shades to portray. I love this role," said Gaurav.
Looks like Gaurav has put in a lot of hard work for this character. But now let's see how he fares on screen against the heartthrob Rajeev Khandelwal.
