Actor Ankit Rathi who made a mark with impactful performances in Bollywood films like Fukrey, Singham 2 and 3 Storeys, is all geared up for his next release Bolo Hau as the male lead. Recently Aknkit opens up and shared details about his character and upcoming projects.

1) What is Bolo Hau? Can you tell us something about the film?

Bolo Hau literally means 'Say Yes' Hence, the tag line: 'Say Yes to Love'. Though the story follows the regular romantic tale format, what's unique about the film is the language - it's Hindi/Urdu mix with a Hyderabadi accent. Even the songs have that Hyderabadi touch. The movie provides wholesome entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. There's song, dance, drama and lots of humour. It will leave you with a smile.

2) Was it difficult to do love scenes with Jahnavi in front of the director, that is her father?

Haha, No, I wouldn't call it difficult but yes initially we both were a tad nervous and after 2-3 scenes we were all settled down. Also, he's a patient director who knows how to get what he needs from his actors and doesn't stop till the performance is just right..so yeah.

3) After 3 Storeys and Phulmania, this is your 3rd film where you play the lead. How do you plan to grow in the industry?

To be honest I don't plan too much. As you can see all my previous films were very different from one another and I am enjoying this aspect of my career so far, I hope the trend for diverse films and diverse characters continues for me. Exploring regional cinema of different parts of India is definitely on my plans for sure.

4) Are there any obstacles that you faced during shoots?

Not in particular. Just getting the Hyderabadi accent was a little tough since it was also crucial for the role.

5) What attracted you to begin a career as an actor?

I have always found the variety and sense of escapism exciting and I always wanted to be in this field.. I did acting workshops when I first came to Mumbai and got my big break when Farhan Akhtar launched me in 3 Storeys( Excel Entertainment).

6) Any director you wish to work with in the future?

The list is pretty long. It's difficult to mention them all but if I had the choice to pick one director it has to be Mr Farhan Akthar as I am a huge admirer of his work and in a way, I was Launched in this industry through his production Excel entertainment.

7) What sort of roles would you be seeking in the future?

I'm looking for something different that challenges and interests me at the same time. I really want to play the character of a villain.

8) Any upcoming projects?

I'm reading a script for a web show. What I am looking for is something that is different from what I've previously done. Might share the news soon.
