Producer Kamal Sadanah had a blast in his office on the announcement of the completion of his film Victoria No 203 on June 14.
His Carter Road office,
incidentally the place where the original film also got scripted, wore a festive look with the stars Soniya Mehra, daughter of late actor Vinod Mehra and the leading lady of the
film taking centrestage. Chirpy 18-year-old Soniya had the entire cast in splits.
Music director Viju Shah, dialogue writer Sunjiv Puri, director Anant Mahadevan and actor Preeti Jhangiani and Kamal Sadanah were sure that the film would be a remake
with a difference in the real sense.
Said Kamal Sadanah, "today's generation is surely ready for a good remake. They have a more independent mind and the script
of Victoria No 203 is very character-based and will surely work."
Adds Anant Mahadevan, "Unlike the other film shot in studios, our film is shot outdoors and we explored a lot of locations. Our production values will show when you watch
the film."
Adds Soniya Mehra, "The movie transcends generations. It is classic and contemporary, such is the stylization."
"I simply love my character in the film," enthused Preeti Jhangiani.
Music director Viju Shah avered that "Today's generation will enjoy he music and relate to it in every sense."
Here's looking forward to this Victoria fare from Kamal Sadanah's stable!
