Salman Khan will soon be following in former lady love Aishwarya Rai's footsteps and making his Hollywood debut.
The actor is all set to make his international debut with Marigold in which he stars opposite a not so known leading lady Ali Larter.
The film's director Willard Carroll's is excited about the release of the film and says that a "lot of it was life imitating art."
The film is about an ambitious actress Marigold played by Larter who sets off for India to work in an English film but ultimately lands up being cast in a Bollywood masala.
"A lot of it was life imitating art because the movie's about an actress who comes to India and ends up being stranded there, has a small part in a Bollywood film, falls in love
with a choreographer, says she can dance but can't. We picked up (actress) Ali (Larter) at the airport and two days later she's in the dance studio learning the final dance
routine", she says.
Salman also feels that the Indian film industry lacks in professionalism.
"The guys in Hollywood are like really professional and we're slightly not that professional and we work mostly with friends, with guys who we get along with. When I saw the
contract (from Hollywood), it was like this thick", says Salman.
Salman's Hollywood debut releases worldwide on August 3 this year.
