Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar treated her fans to a delightful glimpse of her lunch on Monday, sharing a picture of a traditional Indian thali that left food lovers craving a taste. Known for her love of good food, Bhumi took to Instagram Stories to showcase her meal, much to the delight of her 9.5 million followers.

The thali, a staple of Indian cuisine, was a full-fledged affair, featuring an array of delicious dishes. Bhumi's thali included various types of rotis, five different vegetable preparations, lentils, salad, chutney, sweets, and a serving of dhokla-a popular Gujarati snack. Complementing the meal were a bowl of curd and a glass of refreshing buttermilk, completing the wholesome and balanced meal.

Bhumi's post not only highlighted her love for traditional Indian food but also gave her fans a peek into her everyday life, where she continues to embrace her roots despite her busy schedule in the film industry.

Before becoming a well-known name in Bollywood, Bhumi Pednekar worked behind the scenes as an assistant casting director at Yash Raj Films for six years. Her transition to acting came with her debut role as an overweight bride in the 2015 romantic comedy 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha.' The film, directed by Sharat Katariya and starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanjay Mishra, and Seema Pahwa, was both a critical and commercial success, establishing Bhumi as a talented actress in the industry.

Following her breakout role, Bhumi went on to star in a series of successful films, showcasing her versatility and ability to take on diverse characters. Her filmography includes hits like 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha,' 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan,' 'Bala,' 'Pati Patni Aur Woh,' 'Saand Ki Aankh,' 'Badhaai Do,' 'Lust Stories,' 'Durgamati,' 'Raksha Bandhan,' 'Thank You for Coming,' 'Bheed,' and 'The Lady Killer.'

Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in the gripping crime thriller 'Bhakshak,' a film based on the Muzaffarpur shelter case. Directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar. 'Bhakshak' is currently streaming on Netflix and has garnered praise for its powerful storytelling and strong performances.

In addition to her recent work, Bhumi made a voice cameo in the movie 'Khel Khel Mein,' further expanding her repertoire in the film industry. Looking ahead, she has exciting projects lined up, including the films 'Daldal' and 'The Royals,' which are highly anticipated by her fans.

Beyond her work in cinema, Bhumi Pednekar is also a passionate advocate for environmental causes. In 2019, she launched the 'Climate Warrior' campaign to raise awareness about environmental protection and global warming. Her efforts to promote sustainability and climate action have made her a role model for many.

Bhumi's commitment to social causes doesn't stop there. She joined forces with MTV India for the Nishedh campaign, which aims to create awareness about health issues, including reproductive health, among the youth. Her dedication to making a difference in society was further recognized when the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) named her India's first National Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on raising awareness about climate change on social media.

Bhumi Pednekar's recent Instagram post, where she shared her love for a traditional Indian thali, is just one example of how she stays connected to her roots while making a significant impact in the entertainment industry and beyond. As she continues to take on challenging roles in film and advocate for important social issues, Bhumi remains a true inspiration to her fans and followers.
