Actor Emraan Hashmi suffered an injury while performing an action scene for his upcoming film Goodachari 2 in Hyderabad. The actor sustained a deep cut on his neck during the intense sequence. Sunny Khanna, a business associate, shared that Emraan is expected to return to Mumbai early on Tuesday. As of now, the actor has not made an official statement regarding his injury.

Goodachari 2 is one of the most anticipated spy thrillers, and Emraan's addition to the cast has generated excitement among fans. The film also stars Adivi Sesh, who played the lead in the first installment of the franchise.

In February 2024, Emraan revealed his involvement in the project by sharing the announcement poster on social media. He captioned it: "The biggest spy franchise gets a blockbuster addition. Boarding mission #G2. Shoot in progress."

Sharing his thoughts about joining the franchise, Emraan said, "Joining the cast of G2 is truly exciting. The script is compelling, and I look forward to being part of this spy thriller."

Adivi Sesh, who reprises his role from the original Goodachari, expressed his enthusiasm about working with Emraan, stating, "I am thrilled to have Emraan Hashmi on board for G2. His presence will undoubtedly bring a new dimension to the film."

Producers T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal also shared their excitement about Emraan joining the film. "Emraan Hashmi joining G2 raises the stakes for the film. His talent aligns perfectly with the vision we have for this project. Fans can expect a cinematic spectacle like never before," said Vishwa Prasad.

Abhishek Agarwal added, "His stature and acting prowess will completely justify the weight of the character. The most awaited spy franchise gets more exciting with his addition to the team."

G2 is the sequel to the hit Telugu film Goodachari, which starred Adivi Sesh, Shobhita Dhulipala, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. The original film received praise for its thrilling narrative and engaging performances, making the sequel highly anticipated.

Emraan Hashmi was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series Showtime, created by Sumit Roy. The series also featured a stellar ensemble cast including Mouni Roy, Vijay Raaz, Shriya Saran, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Naseeruddin Shah.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Emraan's return to action once he recovers, as Goodachari 2 promises to be another thrilling addition to the spy genre.
