Yash Raj Films' "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom", a multi-starrer, was a washout at the box office, but the song "Jhoom" has caught the listeners' fancy and is topping the charts.

The top 10 songs for the week are:

1. "Jhoom" - Film: "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom"; Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy; Singer: Shankar. The music lovers sway to this number crooned by Shankar. Gulzar's lyrics are predominantly Punjabi, while Shankar adds a classical touch in between.

2. "In dino" - Film: "Metro"; Music Director: Pritam; Singer: Soham. After staying on top of the chart, this romantic rock number has slid to number two. The song showcases Pritam's creativity.

3. "Cheeni kum" - Film: "Cheeni Kum"; Music Director: Ilaiyaraaja; Singer: Shreya Ghoshal. The soft, romantic number is here to stay for a long time. Shreya goes solo in this track and amazes everyone with her sweet, innocent and melodious voice.

4. "Do you wanna partner" - Film: "Partner"; Music Director: Sajid-Wajid; Singers: Udit Narayan and Shaan. A kind of track that would have many doing a jig to its lyrics while many might also change the channel whenever the track is played.

5. "Maahiya" - Film: "Awarapan"; Music Director: Pritam Chakraborty; Singer: Suzzane. This is a dance number that's got a very electric feel to it, making the singer sound rather like Shibani Kashyap. Though not really a hit, the song still ensures that you get the hang of it.

6. "Assalam walekum" - Film: "Aap kaa Surroor"; Music Director: Himesh Reshammiya; Singer: Himesh Reshammiya. A pop number, the love song is dedicated to the protagonist's ladylove in the film.

7. "Main Jahaan Rahoon" - Film: "Namastey London"; Music Director: Himesh Reshammiya; Singers: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Krishna. A fined tuned and well-paced song, sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, is still doing the rounds.

8. "Woh Ajnabee" - Film: "The Train"; Music Director: Mithoon; Singer: Shilpa Rao. Critics have panned the film but this dance number is doing well for itself. Mithoon's racy music and Shilpa's sensuous voice makes it a track worth listening.

9. "Ganpat" - Film: "Shootout At Lokhandwala"; Music Director: Anand Raj Anand; Singer: Mika. The film's release has helped the track. The situational song, however, might not last long.

10. "Shona" - Film: "Ta Ra Rum Pum"; Music Director: Vishal-Shekhar; Singers: Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan. An apt romantic song for lovers.
