Renowned filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, known for his impactful films like 'The Kashmir Files' and 'The Vaccine War', has officially kick-started the shooting for his highly anticipated project, 'The Delhi Files.' The director took to his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday to share the exciting news with his fans and followers.

Agnihotri posted a behind-the-scenes video from the set, marking the beginning of the film's production. The video captures a traditional puja ceremony, signifying an auspicious start, with the entire crew participating. The set, designed to reflect the historical period of partition-era Kolkata, offers viewers a sneak peek into the grand scale of the movie.

In his post, the director wrote, 'SHUBHARAMBH. With your blessings, the shooting of #TheDelhiFiles began today. A puja was conducted by all the devis of the crew. O Mother! Please give us the courage to tell this difficult tale with utmost honesty and fearlessly.' The heartfelt message highlights the director's intent to approach the film with sincerity and integrity.

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the historical accuracy of 'The Delhi Files.' He embarked on an extensive research journey, travelling from Kerala to Kolkata to Delhi, gathering information and piecing together narratives that shape the core of the film. His commitment to authenticity was evident when he visited Gandhi's Ashram in Sewagram, an experience he shared on social media with photos and reflections.

He wrote, 'For the research of #TheDelhiFiles, I spent days at Gandhi's Ashram in Sewagram. This cottage has been visited by the who's who of the world. Some of the best journalists used to station themselves here to interview Gandhi. Every parent must take their children there. Truly inspiring.' This post highlights Agnihotri's dedication to understanding the historical context of his story.

Agnihotri's commitment to the project is evident in the immense amount of research undertaken. The director reportedly read over 100 books and reviewed more than 200 articles related to the historical events depicted in the film. Along with his team, he travelled across 20 states, studying over 7,000 pages of research and analyzing more than 1,000 archival articles to bring a truthful representation of the narrative to life.

Following the success of 'The Kashmir Files,' Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has once again teamed up with producer Abhishek Agarwal. The film is being produced under the banner of Abhishek Agarwal Arts, in collaboration with Agnihotri's own production house, 'I Am Buddha.' This partnership aims to continue their streak of delivering hard-hitting and thought-provoking cinema.

With 'The Delhi Files,' Agnihotri aims to delve into another chapter of India's complex history. Although details about the plot remain under wraps, the film is expected to address significant socio-political events with the same raw honesty that made 'The Kashmir Files' a blockbuster. The project has already generated considerable buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting to see how the director will tackle the sensitive subject matter.

As shooting progresses, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's fans can look forward to more updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set. The film promises to be another powerful addition to the director's repertoire, aiming to shed light on untold stories from India's past.

With an in-depth research process, a talented team, and a vision driven by integrity, 'The Delhi Files' is set to be a cinematic experience that combines history, emotion, and storytelling at its finest.
