A story published in a tabloid suggesting that Shilpa Shetty is upset with the Deols – Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol – for not allowing her to watch the premiere of ‘Apne' with them has Shilpa astounded.

"On the contrary I'm more miffed with this fabrication than anything the Deols did or didn't do. I love the Deols, especially Dharamji, to death," Shilpa said from Paris.

"Why would they treat me badly? And why would I take offence about the seating arrangement? The truth is Shamita and I had to attend a family function at night. We thought we'd attend the `Apne` premiere and then go to the function. But the screening started very late, so we just showed our faces and had to leave. That's it."

"The next day, I had a special screening of `Apne` for my family and friends."

Shilpa says such rumours have been doing the rounds since she started working in `Apne`. "Throughout the making of `Apne`, we had so much fun. I knew I didn't have an author-backed role. But just the pleasure of being in the same screen space as Dharamji, Sunny and Bobby made me very excited. If Anil Sharma makes `Apne 2`, I want to be a part of it."

The film released last week and is doing well.

Earlier reports were that Shilpa was miffed with the Deols for not being included in the Red Lounge gentry at Cinemax, Versova, during the premiere of ‘Apne'.

The report added that just before the screening, Shilpa realised she was given passes for screen four. Shilpa felt left out as she had thought that the Deols would include her in the Red Lounge because she is a part of the film playing Sunny's wife. She had also been talking highly about the film as she is extremely fond of the Deols.

Reportedly, she was generous enough not to make an issue and just walked out of the auditorium as the film began.

The buzz was that Shilpa didn't want to be in the same auditorium as Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. Cinemax confirmed that Shilpa and her sister Shamita Shetty were given tickets for screen four, like most of the stars, because the Red Lounge was kept especially for Dharmendra, senior actors and certain ministers.

"Shilpa is a big star and we'd love to treat her with utmost honour and dignity," said Girish Wankede from Cinemax.

But her publicist said, "Shilpa to think like that. She doesn't There was a private show, arranged by the makers, specially for her and her family the next day at the Fun Republic preview theatre and Shilpa had a whale of a time cheering for the Deols."
