Mithun Chakraborty and Ranjeeta get together once again on the sets of Ashu Trikha's Zindagi Tere Naam, currently being shot in Dalhousie after 23 years.

Mithun and Ranjeeta created a buzz in the '70s with films like Suraksha, Tarana, Hum Se Badkar Kaun and Ghar Ek Mandir. They never acted together since 1984, when the speculations about their off-screen relationship began.

Mithun was married to Yogeeta Bali and he decided not to work with Ranjeeta.

"Things have changed now," says Mithun speaking from Dalhousie. "We are matured people and I think we need to concentrate on work," says Mithun Chakraborty.

Produced by Naveen Tak, Zindagi Tere Naam is a mature love story where Mithun plays a 60-year-old man and Ranjeeta is in her 50s.

Though Ranjeeta was not too forthcoming about Mithun and posing with him for the media, looks like they have buried their past issues and agreed to work together. "

Trikha went in for this unusual cast because they have worked together earlier, and can recreate their old magic.

There is an audience which has seen them together and we want to give them another opportunity. The film will have two love stories — one involving Chakraborty and Ranjita and the other featuring a young couple."

Ranjeeta is very excited about her role. "I have not been in touch with the industry for over 15 years. Let's see if the audience likes us together or not." But it seems that she didn't want to talk much about Mithun.

For Mithun, Ranjeeta is his lucky mascot.

Both are enjoying working together once again.

"The role is completely different from what we have done in past," says Mithun. When asked about Ranjeeta's best film, he says, "It's got to be Tarana."
