It has been a tumultuous time for Sanjay Dutt. Even as he waits for the court to finally pass a verdict on his long-pending cases related to the 1992 Bombay blasts, Dutt has
rushed off a resignation letter to White Feather, the company that he has fostered along with his jigri buddy and long-standing business associate Sanjay Gupta.
"The letter arrived in the afternoon on Saturday," informs the stunned Gupta. "I immediately rang up Sanju to ask him what it was all about. He patiently explained that he
had to take this drastic step in the light of his court cases.
For legal reasons he cannot be shown to be a part of a huge corporate company like White Feather. I
totally understand that."
What about the immediate speculations about the Dutt-Gupta friendship that are bound to start?
Laughs Gupta, "People can go on and on putting two and two together. Sanju's decision to quit White Feather has no bearing on our personal relationship. He is and will be
my best friend. Even our professional rapport remains the same.
We're currently shooting Alibaug together. There's no change in that. Of course people will have a
field day speculating about the reason for his departure from White Feather. Kuch to log kahenge. Let them. Sanju and I know the truth."
Rumours have it that Dutt was unhappy with some of the staffers at White Feather?
Explains Gupta, "But we got rid of the undesirable elements. Next people will say Sanju left because of the rumour that I haven't paid some of the crew from White Feather.
Sanju is emotional but not foolish."
