After its successful Hindi debut two weeks ago, fans took to social media to request a Telugu dub of the film. The makers, Maddock Films, heeded the call and officially announced the Telugu release on their Instagram handle. Sharing a striking poster of Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the production house revealed that Chhaava will roar in Telugu theaters starting March 7th. The caption read:
"The epic tale of India's courageous son, #Chhaava, is now all set to roar in Telugu by popular demand. Witness the biggest spectacle #Chhaava in Telugu from March 7th. #ChhaavaTelugu Grand Release by #GeethaArtsDistributions."
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava has been a box office sensation since its release on February 14. The film has already crossed the ₹500 crore mark globally, making it the second-highest-grossing Hindi period epic after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. Domestically, the film has earned ₹385 crore and is on track to surpass the ₹400 crore milestone soon. With its current momentum, Chhaava is expected to reach the ₹700 crore mark worldwide.
The film has struck a chord with audiences, particularly in Maharashtra, where Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is celebrated as a legendary hero. Apart from Maharashtra, states like Rajasthan and West Bengal have also shown a surge in theater footfall, contributing to the film’s massive success.
Featuring a stellar cast including Akshaye Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, Divya Dutta, and Vineet Kumar Singh, Chhaava brings to life the inspiring story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. With its gripping narrative, powerful performances, and grand visuals, the film is poised to captivate Telugu audiences just as it did in Hindi-speaking regions.
Don’t miss the chance to witness this cinematic masterpiece in Telugu, releasing on March 7th. Chhaava is not just a film; it’s a celebration of India’s rich history and valiant heroes!
