The two people who matter the most to 26-year-old Vivek Oberoi are his parents. He goes out of his way to let it be known that he owes his new-found entirely success to them.

Industrialist Anil Ambani, a reserved person who "adores Hindi films" but "seldom gets to see any", couldn`t stop himself from picking up the phone and conveying his congratulations to the younger son of actor Suresh Oberoi. He chose to call the father: "You should be congratulated because you laid the steps of your son`s dreams." Vivek was obviously thrilled that he was able to make his father proud. "Yes, they are the greatest parents in the world," he beamed.

He means it. Minutes after he earned his first Bollywood paycheck, he threw a surprise party for his parents and took them out for shopping. Neither his siblings nor his steady Gurpreet were allowed to join them. "This special moment is only for them," he declared.
