Had fate favoured Manish Raisinghania, who essays the role of Sameer in Zee's "Teen Bahuraniyan", he would have been doing India proud in national and international martial arts championships.

The second-degree Black Belt in karate has won the State Championship title thrice for karate and the National Championship title four times for karate and kick-boxing. But lack of sponsorship forced the talented lad to quit the sports.

"I was selected for the International Championship four times but because of lack of sponsorship and a lot of politics involved, I decided to quit it. In India, except for cricket, every other game is neglected. This attitude makes many budding sportspersons lose motivation and move into other professions. I'm glad that "Chak De India" is focusing on hockey," he said.

However, the actor has not given up his passion completely. He is now all set to kick-start his martial arts practice. With "Betiyaan Apni Ya Paraya Dhan" over and his great time manangement with 'Teen Bahuraaniyaan', Manish has more free time than he expected.

It is learnt that Manish has also joined Salsa classes. Now, that makes one wonder whether resuming martial arts and taking dance training is all part of some hush-hush project? Put in other words, is Bollywood calling? "Of course, I intend to get into films. But at this point of time, I would say the keyword is preparation," Manish signs off.
