Sameera Reddy is going placs and winning new friends these days. After George Clooney, the latest name to be on her friend list is Latin American pop sensation Shakira.

The dusky beauty Shakira at the One X One charity event early this week.

Dressed in a flaming red sari designed by Neeta Lulla Reddy drew a lot of attention including that of Shakira. The two got to talking.

"Shakira is very shy. We actually, got talking over my red saree and accessories," she told.

"Our conversation veered on subjects ranging from traditional garb to folk dances like the bhangra."

Later, when Shakira took to the stage she urged Sameera to come and perform a Bhangra number. As Sameera went through her moves, this prompted Wyclef to belt out his latest track, 'Bollywood meets Hollywood'.

Hollywood actor Matt Damon who hosted the event also joined in the bhangra.
