There has been a lot of protests over the selection of flop film "Eklavya – The Royal Guard" as India's official entry for next year's Best Foreign film category in the Oscars.
The moving "Dharm" or hits "Partner"
and "Heyy Babyy" could have been better nominations, everybody said.
The chairman of the panel of selectors Vinod Pande had an answer to subdue all the voices of dissent.
"Those films were
shoddy copies of Hollywood films," he reportedly said about "Partner" and "Heyy Babyy". Well not exactly, but then, not totally wrong either. What say?
