Masumi Makhija, who was very much appreciated for her work in ‘Maqbool', was recently seen in Sanjay Gupta's 'Dus Kahaniyan' in a story 'High on the Highway'.

Despite being a talented actress, her career has not really taken off in the desired manner. Although Masumi received critical acclaim for her performance in the film, the commercial failure of 'Dus Kahaniyan' has not helped her to reap any dividends.

Now we wonder if her success is anyway related to her last name "Makhija". The same name was used by Shah Rukh Khan in 'Om Shanti Om'.

In ‘OSO', Shah Rukh's friend Shreyas had suggested to him that if he wanted to be a star in Bollywood, he should change his name from Makhija to Khanna or Kapoor. Masumi has also done her bit, by calling herself simply Masumeh but unfortunaley that too is not really helping. We recently contacted Masumeh, who is celebrating the New Year with her family in Pune, and asked her about her New Year resolutions, she said that she was joining a flying club and talks are on with many flying clubs.

She plans to join the one that suits her best. She has already zeroed down on the flying club in Baramati.

But is it so that she has made this resolution as her career is not really moving and if she has to start any other career then she can always start her career as a pilot professionally. Are we right, Masumi?
