‘Ramayan', the epic which created history on Indian television some 20 years back was supposed to be the trump card for newly launched channel ‘NDTV Imagine'.

Creative minds behind the channel – Shailaja Kejriwal and Sameer Nair, ex Star Plus team, was confident of making a dent on the competition with the launch of their version of Ramayan.

But looks like the response hasn't been all that great. And possibly that is the reason why they have pushed the fast forward button taking a leap of 17 years and showing the grown up and adult Ram as soon as possible.
