T-Series, the producer and publisher of music and videos, today filed an FIR against film director Ram Gopal Verma and another person, alleging breach of contract by the Director.

According to T-Series executive Neeraj Kalyan, a Memorandum Of Understanding, 'Movie Assignment Deed', was signed between Ram Gopal Varma Films Pvt Ltd and Super Cassettes Industries Ltd (T-Series) on June 13, 2006.

Mr Kalyan said that according to the Deed, the director had given the audio/video rights of his next 14 films to T-Series, including 'Aag', 'Darwaza Bandh Rakho', 'Nishabd' and 'Shiva'.

However, Verma sold the rights of 'Aag' to another company after T-Series had already spent Rs 1,40,00,000 for the publicity of the movie, thereby violating the agreement, he added.

T-Series filed the FIR against Verma under Sections 409, 420, 421, 422, 385, 506 and 120(b) of the IPC.
