'Unforgettable', the much-talked about world tour of the Bachchans of Bollywood, is making waves in Trinidad and Tobago as advance bookings for the show here this month have been overwhelming.

The event is expected to be a complete sell-out even though ticket prices are beyond the reach of the average fan, say ticket agents.

The star studded show that will kick off in Toronto, Canada, July 18 will reach Trinidad and Tobago July 20 at Queen's Park Oval here. It is the only Caribbean venue to be included on the show's international itinerary.

VVIP tickets are being sold at $400, VIP ones for $250, special reserve tickets are priced at $160, reserved area at $90 and general admission at $50.

Amitabh Bachchan along with son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai will form the integral part of the team. Bollywood stars Preity Zinta, Riteish Deshmukh and composer duo Vishal-Shekar will also join them. Shiamak Davar is choreographing it.

In the first lap of its tour, the show will travel to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, New York, London and Amsterdam.

The show will also have guest stars like Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty and Madhuri Dixit who will join others according to their convenience in Canada, Britain and the US respectively.

Among some of the major corporate houses lending support include India's Bank of Baroda, Jack's Tyre Traders Ltd, Carib Brewery Limited, Digicel Caribbean, Naipaul's XTra Foods and Blue Water.

Patrons from Guyana, Suriname, Martinique, Jamaica, New York and Miami are expected to attend the event.

Lawrence Duprey, chairman of CLICO investment and insurance firm, said: 'It was an investment honouring the culture and heritage of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean, taking what is unique about us to the world, and bringing cultural experiences from around the world here to enrich our own experiences.'

In recent years several top Indian entertainers have visited Trinidad and Tobago, and one of the chief organisers of such events is the Universal Concerts Limited.

Since 1964, Indian musicians, dancers and singers have been performing here and this is viewed by cultural thinkers and sociologists as an in-depth initiative to fully re-link with the Indian diaspora who came here mainly from two Indian states - Uttar Pradesh and Bihar - between 1845 to 1917 to work on agricultural farms.

Some of the film artistes who have performed here over the years include Hemant Kumar, Manna Dey, Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Abhijeet and Shah Rukh Khan.
