If the Grapevine is to be believed, the reason for the couple`s breakup is that the actor can`t stand Rhea`s spiritual obsession. And her passion to hang life size posters of her guru even on the walls of their bedroom enraged him.

The hunky actor is said to have sought refuge in the arms of character actress Kunika. Kunika is married to a US businessman and cracks are beginning to show in her marriage too. Kunika was also seen in the Shobha De written daily soap Swabhimaan.

It is rumored that Sanjay and Kunika became close while they were shooting on an outdoor location for a film.
