This could be his moment of reckoning. Southern heartthrob R Madhavan gets another chance to prove his mettle in Bollywood. The movie in question is Anant Mahadevan`s Dil Vil Pyar Vyar - a web of three separate love stories which have been laced with vintage R.D. Burman music.

Madhavan has been paired with Namrata Shirodkar and according to the film`s director, "their story is full of dramatic turns". Of all the pairs, theirs looks the best. The Sanjay Suri-Sonali Kulkarni jodi could come a close second.

Absence of big stars, good music, a sensible director and first-rate production values - these then are the movie`s highlights. More importantly, it provides just the right mix for the star of many Tamil hits such as Kannathil Muthamittal, Minnale and Alaipayuthey to make a mark with the Hindi-speaking audience. So despite a washout called Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, don`t count Madhavan out.
