Thespian Dilip Kumar has been admitted to a hospital here due to complications resulting from an urinary infection, but his condition was stable Friday.

"His condition is stable and there is nothing to worry about," said sources at Indraprasth Apollo Hospital where the actor was admitted Thursday.

The 86-year-old actor, whose condition worsened Thursday, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital where he is being treated for the infection.

The hospital sources said: "As his condition is improving, we will be shifting him out of ICU shortly."

The actor is known for his landmark performances in films like "Devdas", "Madhumati", "Ganga Jamuna", "Mughal-E-Azam", "Shakti" and "Karma".
