One of the big Diwali releases, Heroes, was originally titled, Mera Bharat Mahaan. In fact 80% of the film was shot under the title Mera Bharat Mahaan. But then the makers changed it to Heroes. We tried to find out the reason behind this change.

When contacted, Sameer Karnik the director of the film told us, "Yes our film was earlier called 'Mera Bharat Mahaan' which is written behind ever truck but we really do not know how true and worthy the line is.

Then we also felt that this title was giving the image of a typical patriotic film, which it is not.We realised that the universal aspect of the film was dying.

The story can lend it self to any country or place because it's about people and their heroic spirit. The premise of the film is that all of us have a hero within us. It is only experience and our reactions to situations that make us realise it."

Heroes stars Sohail Khan and Vatsal Seth with Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Mithun Chakravorthy, Dino Morea, Riya Sen, Amrita Arora in cameos. It is all set for a October 24th release.
