It has been quite a while since one saw Sanjay Suri on screen. And now when he returns with 'Sorry Bhai', it is quite a special project since he is also producing this Onir directed film. Since he has earlier made movies like 'My Brother Nikhil' and 'Bas Ek Pal', is it an endeavor for making different films which is continuing with 'Sorry Bhai'?

Says Sanjay Suri without any hint of hesitation, "Yes, I would say that the key focus is to unveil differentiated stories within the framework of entertainment. It all started with 'My Brother Nikhil' to 'Bas Ek Pal' and now 'Sorry Bhai'."

But somewhere down the line it seems like a conscious decision that 'Let me make a film which no one has made before' over making something like a quintessential safe 'masala' film?

"No, that is neither the ideology nor any arrogance', negates Sanjay, "A film's birth might be a thought but in nurturing that thought many facets of the business need to be kept in mind. I would like to make that so called safe masala film but I often wonder, "What is a safe masala film"?"

For both Onir and Sanjay Suri, the film is important since they not just come together as director and actor respectively but also as co-producers of the film along with Vashu Bhagnani. In this respect, how commercially viable is 'Sorry Bhai'?

"Well, if you try comparing 'Sorry Bhai' with 'My Brother Nikhil' or 'Bas Ek Pal', it is certainly far more viable commercially. The film is sure to get a much wider audience base due to its genre.

'Sorry Bhai' is about light hearted romance and overall lighter films with romance tend to find a vast viewer ship as compared to intense films. Naturally the reach is bigger", signs off Sanjay Suri.

Starring Sharman Joshi and Chitrangda Singh as the leading couple, the film also stars Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi as a couple. With music by Gaurav Dayal, the film is arriving all over on 28th November. Joginder Tuteja
