Credit crunch, banks collapsing, economic turmoil, recession is the talk of the town these days and unfortunately Bollywood has also fallen prey to these. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan who is considered amongst the richest in India spoke out on this issue to us at a recent Hyundai brand endorsement event.

When asked about the banks collapsing and the economic effect he said the people who have suffered the most are the middle class people coz their future is dependent on the economic trend. The high class people are unaffected and the people who are at the bottom have accepted their losses.

About he was tackling the situation, SRK said that when his films work all the people involved also benefit coz even the films which are produced by his company are actually in a middle class mentality wherein if you spend two rupees on a product you end up going back home with two rupees and ten paise. He said that he has never fallen prey to excessive pricing be it the industry or anywhere else.

According to Khan no matter how much he earns, he still comes from a middle class upbringing and only hopes that the products he uses are affordable even when times are real bad.

Till date he always remembers what his mom had told him that even if a person earns a certain amount of economy status its for him to decide whether he wants to spend it for two years or for hundred years and he has chosen to spread it for a hundred years and henceforth is easy with his finances.
