After the completion of the second season of Big Boss Shilpa Shetty who was going planning to shoot the first schedule for her first international venture film Desire has completely gone haywire.

The actress has injured her foot and had to get 15 stitches. She has now been advised rest.

Writing about her injury on the blog the actress says "I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches... don't ask me how... in a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air, I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot...!

In normal circumstances, I would have got hysterical thinking it is serious... Do not panic, it is not.... I am fine! Nothing that local anesthesia, a tetanus injection and antibiotics could not solve" she says.

The actress has been learning Odissi dance for the film. "Yes but all my dates that have gone for a toss, disabling me from taking my Odissi lessons for my new film Desire" she adds.

Shilpa is gung ho about the entire project. "I am really excited about this one since it's an Indo-Chinese project. It's got a Chinese actor, Xia Yu, my first with a foreign actor. I am looking forward to working with him and director R. Sarath (renowned Malayalam director).

Got to take it easy for two weeks and then will resume work. But first I am hoping to get back on my feet soon! Moral of the story is – Look before you leap and stay grounded!" Shilpa laughs and adds.

Incidentally, Desire will be made in English first and dubbed in Chinese later. It will also be premiered in Shanghai to capture the Chinese market. Xia Yu, incidentally, is the youngest actor to win the Best Actor award at Venice Film Festival for his very first film In The Heat Of The Sun in 1994.
