With recession taking its toll and their spate of super flops doing the rest damage, entertainment giant Eros Entertainment has decided to close down its office in Delhi-UP.

Industry sources inform, "Eros had taken the office premises on rent in Delhi. But now they have given a month's notice to the landlord following which they shall soon vacate these premises.

They won't be shifting to any other place in Delhi. All the Delhi-UP operations and releasing of their films in this circuit shall be carried on from their existing office.

The main reason being, they have ensued huge losses with their big budget films like Drona and Yuvvraaj crashing badly at the box office. As also the recession in the market has been troubling them as well as a lot of corporate production houses.

There are also chances of more heads to roll in their Mumbai office. Eros presently has also stopped taking in new projects for distribution."

Reportedly, Karan Johar too had shut down his Delhi distribution office just a few months back.

"But Karan wasn't much actively involved in the handling of his Delhi office, a veteran Delhi-UP circuit big trade name, Gullu Sethi was managing it.

But the decision by Karan to shut his Delhi office was perhaps more to do with cutting costs than losses. All his operations now take place from his Dharma Productions' office in Mumbai." adds our industry source.
