Jimmy Sheirgill has turned ultra selective after 'A Wednesday'. And why shouldn't he be?

After all he has been delivering consistently for more than a decade now, ever since he first made an impression with 'Maachis'.

Now with good recognition coming his way after varied roles in films like 'A Wednesday', 'Strangers', 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard' and 'Bas Ek Pal', it is but natural for him to sit back, relax and take a good stock of where his career his headed.

While he is now looking at picking up the best of the best projects in Bollywood, he is quietly busy shooting for his next Punjabi film in Chandigrah.

Titled 'Munde UK De', the film brings him back with his 'Yaaran Naal Bahaaran' director, Manmohan Singh.

An acclaimed director in Punjabi films who has a cent percent record in the territory with hits like 'Mitti Waajan Mardi', 'Dil Apna Punjabi', 'Asa Nu Maan Watna Da', 'Jee Aayan Nu' and of course 'Yaaran Naal Baharaan', Manmohan Singh has earlier worked extensively with Yash Raj Films in the capacity of a cinematographer for films like 'Chandni', 'Lamhe', 'Darr', 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Dil To Pagal Hai' and 'Mohabbatein'.

Says Jimmy Sheirgill, "'Munde UK De' is the story of a couple of guys who have lived in UK all their life and now step their feet in Punjab, the place where their roots lie. The two backdrops are completely in contrast to each other and how these two boys see people and how they see them in return is what forms the crux of the story."

Neeru Bajwa, who was earlier been seen in 'Dil Apna Punjabi' as well as 'Asa Nu Maan Watna Da', has been repeated by Manmohan Singh for 'Munde UK De' as the leading lady.

"The film is a feel good entertainer with embellished with a lot of light hearted as well as romantic moments. I have been stationed in Chandigrah for close to a month now and thoroughly enjoying my shoot. Also, for the character I play, I have gone through a makeover by sporting spiked hair and also developed a slight accent", quips Jimmy.

A film which revolves around the theme of generation gap and culture clash, 'Munde UK De' is not just directed but also written and produced by Manmohan Singh.
