Bipasha Basu`s sudden disappearance from work for over three weeks caused quite a flutter in the industry recently. The glossies went to town spreading stories about how a mysterious disease had afflicted the Bengali lass.

But Bips is back in the thick of the action, hale and hearty. "It was just an infection, yaar," she says. "It`s just that I had been inaccurately diagnosed and treated wrongly. As a result of the medication, I had developed rashes and an unbearable back pain. Naturally, doctors had advised complete bed rest and the next thing I knew was that wild rumours were flying around."

Bipasha has resumed shooting for Pooja Bhatt`s Jism, a film about a woman making use of her sexuality to further her career. Come to think of it - if a mere infection can cause such a furore, wonder what the theme of Jism will trigger. A thunderstorm?
