Ashish Choudhary's sister and brother-in-law were killed in the recent Mumbai terror attacks. Gloom had surrounded the Choudhary family for long now. But finally the talented actor has got a reason to smile. His wife, Samita delivered a baby boy at Breach Candy Hospital.

A pal of Ashish's told us, "His wife delivered a baby boy on Friday at around 2.30 am. He was quite tense when she was admitted to the hospital. The baby is healthy and fine. So is Shamita. She was admitted at Breach Candy hospital at around 10.30pm. It was an emotional moment for him. He was hoping the baby will bring the family back to normal now."

Ashish told us, "It's really a great moment for Shamita and me. Everything is fine. The name of the baby is not yet decided, but we have three or four names in mind. He has arrived at the right time, it's just what our family needs.

"Shamita will be discharged on Monday evening. The baby weighs six pounds."

"Hopefully, the New Year will continue to be a joyous one, " he said.
